Kory Trott is the Director of Research Integrity at the University of Chicago. A position he assumed in August 2025. In addition to serving as the University’s research integrity officer, he leads strategic initiatives to support ethical research and innovation. Before joining the University of Chicago, Kory was the Director of Research Ethics and Compliance at the University of Alabama. His earlier career includes roles at Virginia Tech, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the University of Wisconsin. Kory’s professional service involves roles on the Editorial Board for Accountability in Research and the National Cancer Institute’s Late Phase Emphasis Institutional Review Board.
He holds a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin, a Master of Public Health from Drexel University, and a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University.
