When preparing NIH applications that require a modular budget, please pay particular attention to the modular budget guidance in the Pre-Award FAQs.
In addition, please be reminded that the SF424 budget is currently calculating cents on the dollar when the IDC rate is applied, instead of rounding to the nearest whole number. Therefore, when preparing SF424 budgets, please ensure that numbers are rounded to the nearest whole number and that cumulative totals match the “Total Federal Funds Requested/Total Federal & Non-Federal Funds Requested” sections in the SF424. Please note that your SF424 budget totals should match the total in the AURA Budget Grid.
