Dear Colleagues,
As a reminder, AURA Grants will be going through a technical upgrade between the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. This upgrade will better position URA and the UChicago Research Administration community to continue high-level support and management of our sponsored portfolio.
As a result of this system upgrade and the recent announced University Winter Recess, University Research Administration will be closed beginning at noon on Thursday, December 24, 2020 and will resume operations on Monday, January 4, 2021. To prepare for this upgrade, we are advising the following guidelines to the community to submit tasks to URA prior to the upgrade.

For clarity, AURA Grants will not be accessible or readable during this upgrade window. Please note that AURA Agreements, AURA IRB and AURA IBC and AURA COI will not be directly affected but may be impacted by the upgrade, however we are recommending that no new records be created AURA Agreements during the AURA Grants Upgrade window.
URA will be providing updates and training to walk through the new module. Please sign up for these sessions to learn more about pertinent information regarding system interface and navigation changes, as well as, Pre and Post Award activity updates.
