eRA Modules Will Be Unavailable April 17-20, 2020

Client Alert: eRA Modules Will Be Unavailable April 17-20, 2020

Beginning tomorrow, and through the weekend, eRA modules will be unavailable. Modules and data are being migrated to the Amazon Web Services cloud from 8:00 AM ET on April 17th to 8:00 PM ET on April 20th.

During this time, you will not be able to access any of eRA's modules, web sites, web services, or the eRA service desk ticketing system.

Due dates that are affected by this downtime are covered under NIH's late application policy due to COVID-19. For details of this policy, please see Guide Notice NOT-OD-20-091.

For details about the migration, please go to:

https://era.nih.gov/news/era-reminder-era-moving-cloud-era-modules-will-be-unavailable-april-17-april-20.htm

Grants.gov will process applications that come through during this migration period. These applications will sit in queue in the Grants.gov system until eRA begins processing them on April 20th when the eRA systems are back online.

Action Required: There are no site updates required for this.

Huron Recommendation: We recommend communicating this information to users to make them aware of this system downtime.

Impact: Since the eRA system will be unavailable, web services used for NIH validations and PDF generation using the NIH image service will not be working during this time.
