FY2018 Payroll Verification

Dear Grant Administrators and Division Contacts,

I am reaching out regarding the FY18 payroll verification process for salary charged to sponsored awards.  In order to facilitate increased timeliness with our institutional certification of payroll on grant accounts, the timeline for payroll verification is changing this year.  At the end of June 2018, URA will generate a preliminary run of payroll verification reports to be uploaded to Box.  This preliminary run should be used as a tool to identify and process any allowable transfers that may be needed.  URA requests that all transfers be processed in the month of July in order to be reflected on the final payroll verification report.

URA will provide final payroll verification reports in August, after the July ledgers are available.  It is anticipated that these will be available in Box for final certification the week of August 6.  Final and certified payroll verification reports will be due September 21, allowing six weeks to obtain required signatures.

The FY18 timeline is detailed below.
