The Executive Order for the 2020 pay schedules has been posted to the Office of Personnel Management’s website. NIH has released a corresponding notice regarding the new salary limitation as well: NOT-OD-20-065.
The Executive Level II salary, on which the NIH Salary Cap is based, has been raised from $192,300 to $197,300, effective January 5, 2020. Any new funding proposals created with NIH as the sponsor should use the new $197,300 salary cap threshold. Additionally, you may rebudget existing awards to accommodate the new cap. AURA Grants has been updated to reflect the new salary limitation.
This applies to AHRQ proposals and awards as well.
