Dear Grant Administrators,
As part of the Research Administration Modernization initiative, URA will be implementing a Cost Transfer training course in September. The course will be required for all new and existing users of the ACCTS Cost Transfer module and PETS system who debit or credit sponsored research accounts. The course will cover the basics of cost allowability and allocability, an explanation of the internal controls surrounding the process, and a walk-through of both systems along with best practices.
We will be hosting two in-person sessions on the dates listed below:
Monday, September 9th 2:00pm-3:30pm KCBD 1103
Monday, September 30th 10:00am-11:30am KCBD 1103
Please sign up for the training here: https://training.uchicago.edu/course_detail.php?course_id=1897
An online version of the course will be made available on October 1st and a link will be e-mailed out when it is available.
Effective November 1st, users who debit or credit sponsored research accounts and have not completed the mandatory training will have their access to the systems removed. URA will be contacting users who have not taken the training to remind them to complete it before the end of October. Once they have completed the online training, they can request access to the systems.
If you have any questions regarding the training or access to the systems, please e-mail AURA-Help@uchicago.edu.
Thank you,
Arpa Orojian
