Good morning,
The Executive Order for 2021 pay schedules has been published by the Office of Personnel Management and is available on their website. NIH has also released a corresponding notice regarding the updated salary cap: NOT-OD-21-057.
The NIH salary cap, which is based on the Executive Level II salary level, has been increased from $197,300 to $199,300, effective immediately. Any new funding proposals created with NIH as the sponsor should use the new salary cap of $199,300, as applicable. Additionally, existing awards may be re-budgeted to accommodate the new salary cap. AURA Grants has been updated to reflect the new salary limitation.
Please note that this new salary cap also applies to AHRQ proposals and awards.
