We hope you all had a wonderful holiday and winter break. As mentioned in previous communications, the AURA Grants and Agreements modules will receive an upgrade from version 9.2 to version 10.0 this week. Information on the upgrade has been provided below. Please note guidance on the deadlines for Pre-Award and Post-Award services in anticipation of the system downtime:
The upgrade will be taking place on January 7, 2022 at 12:00 PM CST.
The AURA Agreements, Grants, and COI modules will be taken down at noon (12:00 PM CST) on January 7, 2022. The upgrade is scheduled to run for the remainder of the day on the 7th and through the weekend. The system will be back online and operations will resume at the start of business on Monday, January 10, 2022.
PRE- AND POST-AWARD GUIDANCE:
All AURA requests should be submitted to URA no later than 5 p.m. CST on Thursday, January 6, 2022 with the exception of new and continuing awards. Any high priority awards which require immediate attention due to sponsor deadlines should be marked urgent and sent to firstname.lastname@example.org prior to 5 p.m. CST on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. Please submit advance account requests for proposals in Pending Sponsor Review by 5 p.m. CST on Thursday, January 6, 2022. URA business will resume on Monday, January 10, 2022.
A preview of the upgrade changes and functionality will be offered at the following virtual URA Learning On-Demand training sessions:
Wednesday, January 5th, 2022, 1 PM -2 PM CST
Friday, January 7th, 2022, 9 AM – 10 AM CST
To register, please sign up for the session of your choosing on the UChicago Training site. The Zoom meeting information and link will be sent to registrants prior to the session. A recording of the training will be added to the URA training webpage post upgrade for those unable to attend a training session.
