Current News and Updates F&A Rates The federal government has recently approved new F&A cost rates (also known as indirect costs) for federal sponsored programs at the University of Chicago. The implementation of these new rates will not impact the direct costs awarded and proposed prior to this announcement. The new F&A rates are for the three-year period beginning immediately and ending June 30, 2022. The rates are: 62.0% on campus, 26.0% off campus 64.0% on campus, 26.0% off campus 64.0% on campus, 26.0% off campus 49.5% on campus, 26.0% off campus 51.0% on campus, 26.0% off campus 51.0% on campus, 26.0% off campus 39.5% on campus, 26.0% off campus 38.0% on campus, 26.0% off campus The rates above are expressed as a percentage of modified total direct costs (MTDC) and will remain in effect for the periods specified. |
