PRIOR

Pilots, Research and Innovation Operational Review is a UChicago Medicine consultation service for projects that impact hospital operations or interact with hospital IT products. Principal Investigators or their designee are encouraged to submit their project idea prior to grant, contract or research submission so that relevant feedback can be provided early in the grant or project design.

Outcomes may include a UCM Letter of Support, names of key departmental contacts for buy-in, budget recommendations for IT support, and suggestions for addressing potential challenges. PRIOR serves as a communication tool to ensure researchers and hospital staff can coordinate their efforts, facilitating more efficient implementation of projects in the hospital.
