Protecting Sensitive Data and Information Used in Research
As part of proper stewardship of federally funded research, and as a general best practice, if your research or laboratory generates data that constitutes proprietary information or is otherwise considered sensitive and confidential, it should be appropriately secured from unauthorized access. Accordingly, please consider whether your visitors will have access to such data (or spaces containing the same). If so, please consult with IT and the University Export Control for review and guidance to ensure your research data is appropriately secured and protected.
